One of the tasty perks of the holiday season is the deluge of gift baskets the office receives from the partners, contractors, and other organizations we work with throughout the year. This last week in particular has been a parade of incredible chocolates and confectionery, smoked salmon, caviar, all manner of snack foods, baked goods, and other treats. Today I sampled milk chocolate-covered graham crackers drizzled with dark chocolate… (sigh).
On Friday, I decided I would make biscotti and put together goody goody* bags as thank yous to the members of the resident team that I supervise, as I truly love working with them and appreciate their good humor and commitment. But it slipped my mind over the weekend and tonight I didn’t have time to bake, so I’m going to pop by Goldilocks tomorrow to pick up a mix of mini-tarts (langka, ube, and macapuno) that I hope they’ll like as much as I do.
*My mom’s cute term for any sort of sweet treat.
